Get involved with the ATC at the RPC.

September 5th, 2012

Hey Everyone I just wanted to get the word out that the Central and Southwest Virginia Regional Partnership Committee (RPC) meeting is coming up on September 15th. This meeting consists of leaders and representatives from the regional Appalachian trail maintaining clubs such as Roanoke Natural Bridge, Mount rogers and OCVT.

The RPCs serve as communication links between the Trail-maintaining clubs and ATC and agency partners on policy issues, and as advisers to the ATC regional directors and the stewardship council on Trail management issues. RPCs do not create ATC policy, but provide forums for discussion and review and make recommendations on proposed policies.

As a maintainer club OCVT has a voice at these meetings, and as an OCVT member so do you. If you are interested in getting more involved in this regional aspect of the club and have an opinion, concern or would even like to attend an RPC meeting please contact me.

I have posted this meeting's agenda at Here
